Role Overview
As the Game Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing original concepts and executing designs for escape rooms,
outdoor escape games, board games, and trivia competitions. This role requires a mix of creative thinking, technical skill, puzzle design,
narrative development, and hands-on prototyping. You’ll work closely with the Game design department, Game Masters,
and Events Coordinator to ensure a high-quality user experience.

Background & Experience
- University student in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering or related fields
- Strong interest or background in game design, puzzles, or storytelling.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), sensors, wiring, and physical prototyping and maintenance
- Highly creative with a structured, logical approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on builder and tinkerer.
- Comfortable drafting technical diagrams and writing game design documentation.
- Team player who can communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Curious, fun-loving, and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Design full-room experiences, including puzzles, flow, narrative, and physical layout.
- Engineer custom interactive props and mechanisms, integrating electronics, sensors, and simple logic systems.
- Collaborate with the game design team on build-outs and installations.
- Continuously evaluate, maintain and improve existing room performance and condition
- Develop engaging outdoor escape games within our design framework
- Design original board games for in-house use or public sale.
- Write and structure trivia competitions (questions, rounds, scoring systems).
- Maintain a growing database of high-quality trivia content suitable for different audiences.
- Prototype and playtest all games before launch.
- Prepare game design documentation and schematics.
- Collaborate on budget planning for materials and prototyping.
- Stay up to date on game trends, puzzle mechanics, and industry innovations.
